Dear Myra,
What are some of your fondest memories of Thanksgivings past?  Is your family a part of your Thanksgiving celebration?
I remember one year when daddy made me and my brother Elmer go out and shoot the turkey.  Elmer was 12 and I was 7.  Daddy said that Elmer had to do the shootin' cause I was still too little.  Well don't ya know when we got out there and heard that turkey go to gobblin' Elmer got scared, dropped the shotgun and took off runnin'!  So there I stood turkey's all around and a shotgun big as me.  I didn't have any choice but do the shootin myself.  So I propped the shotgun up on a downed tree limb and waited for the turkey to come out from behind the tree.  When he came out I was ready...bracing myself on the rock behind me and BANG! got me a turkey.  When I went to drag him out of the brush I saw another dead turkey and another!  Three turkeys with one shot!  Daddy was a little mad....but not at me, at Elmer for runnin'.  He always took me huntin' after that and Elmer had to stay home and help mom with the laundry.  Don't have no family now except my cats, and all 36 of them get a little of my turkey on the big day.  Thanks for lettin me tell ya that story, sure does take me back.   Now get outta my hair so I can get some work done!!

Well now, you are a nosy one aren't you?  I have been called sweet by some, and sexy....well yes, I believe someone called me sexy in....let's see....I believe it was 1941..or maybe 42.  I'm not sure though, they could have said sassy...cause I WAS that back in the day.  But thanks for asking.

Are you self educated or did you do College??  Also,,,,what are your thoughts on U F O's ???
Back in my day women didn't go to college, they raised kids and worked on the farm.  I do consider myself educated though.  It takes a certain amount of smarts to get through life and I have gotten through a lot of it! 
In answer to your second question, UFO's must exist because there are certainly things that cannot be identified or explained.  My grandson for instance could be considered a UFO as well as his girlfriend.  They both have purple hair and wear black nail polish.....can you explain that???

If so, were you a Prom queen or a cheerleader??
Oh yes I was very popular as a teenager, but back in the day I wasn't allowed to be a cheerleader or do anything after school.  I had 9 brothers and 16 sisters I had to help take care of...and then there were the cousins....no time for cheerleading but plenty of time for diaper changing.  Kids have it too easy nowadays...fancy dresses and proms, ha!

Dear Myra,
My boyfriend wants to get married which is great.  The problem is that he doesn't have a job, and he watches TV all day.  I told him I would marry him if he got a job and he told me that he would do the dishes for me once a week and that was all he would do.  I told him that he would have to make some money and he said that I made enough money for both of us, but if I wanted more money he would allow me to work a second job.  I am already looking at wedding dresses and writing out my invitations so you know I said I would marry him.  My question is, what type of second job should I get so I won't be too tired to clean the house and do the laundry.  I already work in a lumber yard during the day for 10 hours, so something sitting down would be good, but at least something I don't have to lift anything.  Thanks Myra, you're great.
