Shewww, what a weekend! To start it off Friday night at the Farmer’s Market Car Show. 50’s and 60’s music with tasty cars to go with it. There were free hotdogs and pop, home grown produce, and other stuff for sale.
The machines ranged from a late 50’s big block pro street style Ford Stepside, to a 54 Chevy with a hopped up dual carbed 6, a stock 37 Chevy, to Tuners and 60’s muscle cars. All of this combined with great weather made for a perfect evening.
Saturday morning it was off to Swappers Day where the LCN crew each found a treasure or two. For me it was more tools. Swappers Days is great for finding old tools! If you’ve never been you’re missing out. It’s a lot of walking but well worth it.
Then it was home for a bite to eat and off again. This time to TeeJaye’s for their car show in Meijer’s parking lot. Around 80 cars showed up to show off their stuff, even a couple I hadn’t seen before. A 30 something Plymouth Coupe with red lexon windows and a white 69 blown big block Chevelle. There were Studebakers, a Packard, cars from the 30’s, and some from the present…all of them top notch. 50’s and 60’s music by “Prowler Jim” rounded off the great night. This car show just gets bigger every year. Can’t wait to see how many show up next year!
Next stop, Saturday, September 8th, the 22nd Annual Lite the Nite Car Show. This one is on the Square in downtown Newark Ohio and is presented by the Newark Rodders Car Club. Proceeds go to the fund for th lighting of the courthouse at Christmas. Stop by our booth and chat with the LCN crew. See ya there!
And don’t forget about the free classifieds on the site!! Great place to sell and trade your parts and other items, and to list your garage sales.
