Cruise Ins, Carnivals & Swapmeets

Friday evening we went to the curise-in at the Jolly Pirate Doughnut Shop on 30th Street in Newark. About 30 cars were there coming and going with Prowler Jim playing 50's and 60's music and raffling off doughnuts and a 50/50. I got to sit in a Cobra. I thought I wouldn't fit but I did...snugly but comfortably.

Saturday morning we went to the Walmart on 21st Street to take pictures of the Sobe Mercury wagon built by Boyd Coddington, and Jim's Prowler. Then it was off to Carnival Foods in Heath for a car show. They had an Elvis impersonator who wasn't half bad, raffles, 50/50 and food and pop. All of that with great weather made for a great show and a great time.

Sunday me and Rex headed for the Canfield Ohio Swapmeet, which is a 3 hour drive from here, for parts hunting. If you haven't been to Canfield its a great place to find parts for just about any American made car. Sherri and Jon went to Druids on Sunday for a car show in the South End of Newark.

Later,

Gearhead at Large
