Not a Total Washout-Super Chevy Show

The 12th Annual Super Chevy Show got off to a soggy start.  Saturday's rain, cool temperatures, and wind canceled the racing and exhibition shows, and made ogling the classics and hotrods a bit uncomfortable.
Sunday however, proved to be an awesome day and the show was a hit as usual.

The crowd was awed by "Airborne Express" driven by legendary Bob Hall.  The wheelie-standing Chevy Astrovan wowed spectators as it sped down the 1/4 mile on with its nose in the air.

Nitro Coupes are always a hit and they once again provided the thrill of speed on the 1/4 mile.  With only one heart stopping moment during a crash, and no injuries the Coupes were again a crowd favorite.

The jet cars were the highlight of the show, with Jessie Harris in the "Queen of Diamonds" and Lou Periera in "The Terminator", it was a battle of the sexes.  Jessie took the win both times with speeds over 300 mph.

Local drivers had their turn with the bracket races as well as the up and coming drivers in their Jr. Dragsters.

Even with the rain, Super Chevy Show was again a site to behold!!
