Utica Ice Cream Festival 2007 |
|
The Utica Ice Cream Festival was a great success as usual. Even with the hot temperatures and hit and miss rain showers, faithful festival goers flocked to the festival as they do every year. Starting out the festivities on Saturday was the Ice Cream Parade featuring lots of candy for all, festival queens and a chance for everyone to get together and talk about everything that's happening in the area. From the parade everyone went "down the road" to see the crafts and play games and have a great time. Sunday featured the "Newark Rodders" sponsored car show, a crowd favorite. Car lovers gathered from all over Ohio to take pictures, exchange notes, and show off their classic cars. A brief shower caused the early departure of some, but didn't scare the real hotrodders who weren't afraid to get wet to prove their classic was the best. Rain on Memorial Day dampened the crowds a bit, but next year promises to be even better at the Utica Ice Cream Festival.
